I view the therapy process as a guided exploration with the mind, body and spirit. A place to get to know yourself more deeply with the support of an objective guide. There are times in our life when outdated belief systems, wounded attachments, and impressions left by pain from our past challenge our sense of wholeness, and parts of self become disconnected. These fractures in being require a moment to pause, go inward and recenter. I would be honored to join you.
I am Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), credentialed by both the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and the Washington State Board. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and hold a Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling (CADC I) through the Addiction Counselor Certification Board of Oregon.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I am fortunate to also pursue one of my passions as a dance instructor and choreographer. My background in dance has deeply informed my interest in the mind-body connection–specifically, how we experience, store, and express emotions through the body. In our work together, we may explore these somatic experiences to help deepen your awareness and support emotional insight.
I utilize a Client-Centered lens that integrates principles of Attachment theory, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Based-Stress Reduction. My practice incorporates parts work and somatic exploration techniques, and is consistently grounded in a trauma-informed framework. I hold a certification in trauma-informed services through the state of Oregon.
